Stopgap at Capital Fringe

Travis Blumer (Ted Peterson) is making his Field Trip Theatre debut.  Travis most recently understudied in PJ Paparelli’s “Two Gentlemen of Verona,” at the Shakespeare Theatre Company.  He also spent the 2010-2011 season as an Acting Fellow with the Shakespeare Theatre, performing in “An Ideal Husband,” “Merchant of Venice,” and “Julius Caesar.”  Travis holds a BFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, the Stella Adler Studio, and his notable New York credits include Britanick’s “The Infinity Prison” at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater, and Les Freres Corbusier’s  “Dance Dance Revolution,” directed by Alex Timbers.

Jonathan W. Colby (David Baker-James) is making his Field Trip Theatre debut. His Washington, DC, appearances include “Two Gentlemen of Verona” at the Shakespeare Theatre Company, “You, Nero” at Arena Stage, “Lungs” at the Studio Theatre, “The Taming of the Shrew” and “Cyrano” at the Folger Theatre, and “Flyboy” with Unstrung Harpist. Other work includes appearances at Stoneham Theatre, Animus Ensemble and New Repertory Theatre in the Boston area. His television and film work includes Shady Lady (2012), and Primal Fear for the History Channel. Mr. Colby holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Emerson College.

Caitlin Diana Doyle (May Green) is excited to return to Field Trip Theatre after playing May Green in the workshop and staged reading of “Stopgap.”  Caitlin has performed regionally with the Shakespeare Theatre Company (“An Ideal Husband,” “Mrs. Warren’s Profession”), The Lyric Stage Company of Boston (“Kiss Me, Kate”) and Olney Theatre Center (“Camelot”).  In 2011, she created the role of Marilyn in “Why Pluto Is A Planet” as part of the Samuel French Off-Off Broadway play festival. Eileen Haley (Julie James) is making her Field Trip Theater debut. She comes to the stage by way of the crucible of improvisational theater.  She is a member of the red- hot DC troupe Fuego.  She has also appeared in short films, PSAs, print advertising and videos.  Lately she has ventured into standup comedy where “nobody has your back!”  Eileen is a speech language pathologist and an ESL instructor and the founder and owner of SpeakWell.  She loves to help people of all ages and cultures express themselves.  She is wildly excited to be in an original play that is both female authored and female directed!  She feels a genuine kinship for her character, Julie.

Michael Litchfield (Robert James-Baker) is making his Field Trip Theatre debut.  He recently graduated from American University with a BA in Theatre - Performance.  Recent credits include “Dead Man Walking” (Ensemble, dir. Rick Hammerly), “Measure for Measure” (Duke), “Ubu Rex” (Captain Macnure/Bear), “The Three Sisters” (Vershinin), “Tartuffe” (Damis), “The Wild Party” (Phil), and “Oklahoma!” (Cord Elam/Fight Captain).  He assistant directed “Next Fall” at Round House Theatre (dir. Mark Ramont).  Michael is also a graduate of the British American Drama Academy’s Midsummer in Oxford Program where he worked with Shakespearean scholar John Barton and attended masterclasses with Fiona Shaw, Julian Glover, and Alan Rickman, among others.


Megan Westman (Jen Parker) is making her Field Trip Theatre debut.  Recent credits at American University include “Ubu Rex” (Queen Rosemund- Irene Ryan Alternate nomination), “Nine,” and “Talking With,” with which she traveled to Russia to perform at the St. Petersburg State Theater Arts Academy.  Megan is currently pursuing a dual degree in Musical Theater and History at American University and hails from Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
